ESU - LokSound 5 Sound Files

The PSC sound files contained on this page are designed as drop in replacements for factory ESU sound files, using LokSound 5 DCC model decoders only. They will require the use of a LokProgrammer to upload them. Decoder address and sound volume settings should be adjusted according to personal preference.

Each file is designed to operate as prototypically as possible; with realistic sound, lighting, braking and logical functions. A function mapping guide is included with each sound file, for ease of use. The custom sounds contained within each file are recorded in the field from various different locales, and types of locomotives.

While each file is built for a specific model manufacturer,
(Athearn, Atlas, Rapido, Scale Trains, etc.) custom programming services are available to suit specific needs. Please see the ‘Our Services’ page for more information.

DISCLAIMER: The custom sound files for purchase on this page are based upon factory ESU sound files which are available free of charge from their website. The charges incurred from purchasing a custom sound file are NOT related to the official sound files which are already available from ESU directly but for the custom programming, cutting and mixing of the additional sounds created by PSC. They are simply added and configured into an existing ESU sound file for convenience of the end user.
